Blue also features inside the homes interior design and is reflected in such features as the carpet, furniture, walls and even the kitchen cabinetry. The neutral colour scheme throughout the home allows the blue accents to create interest and contrast, whilst retaining a fresh and clean experience.

As builder and owner of this lovely home, Andy Douglas was able to incorporate a range of interesting features including skillion ceilings, asphalt tiled rooflines, Linea weatherboards, skylights, timber flooring and tilework.

Andy designed the home to sit neatly on the hillside overlooking Auckland, taking into account the view from all angles and adhering to height restrictions in relation to the surrounding homes.

The challenge here was to create a home on a sloping site, that was comfortable and practical. While completely fulfilling all his family's requirements.
