2 Meke Training Youth Hospitality, Food and Beverage School is designed to meet the needs of youth aged 15 – 18 years of age. It is primarily at student who can work effectively with a tutor in the classroom, within the allocated timeframes and with maximum support.

This programme also provides students with an opportunity to pursue a career in the hospitality or related fields.

Entry is limited to youth, and students who must be able to demonstrate that they have a reasonable chance of success. The re- requisite courses, as the programme is based at basic entry levels they are able to advance the students towards levels 3-4 to continue education in the tertiary training environment or apprenticeship positions.

Students under the age of 16 must have an exemption from school approval from the Ministry of Education to enrol. Any special needs requirements will be identified during the student assessment interview.

An applicant for whom English is their second language, the minimum requirement is that the student should have proven communication skills ability, by demonstration, where an applicant is able to successfully demonstrate confidence throughout the interview process.
