This special house is not connected to the National grid for power supply, saving line user charges.
Water is heated by three sources
1. By solar energy.
2. By gas heater.
3. By wood fire with wet back.
Electricity to run lights and appliances come from Photovonic panels to batteries & then through inverter up to 240volts.
Heating this home is from solar energy which is stored in mass concrete walls and in the floor. Note; not all walls are concrete. (Photo 4. during construction shows this.) But the concrete is where the heat is stored and released when the inside temperature drops.
It is summer temperatures all year around inside this house.
We were fully involved in the design and construction of this home, and was a great pleasure to be able to provide the owners with a home that fits into it's environment.

The Tree to house was built on a very steep site as a pole house with two seperate units. Lower level is a single bedroom flat with own kitchen & Bathroom.
Upper level has two Bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge - Dining Room, Kitchen and garage all on one level.
